JerseyBoys.com is a lightweight, mobile enabled hub website for the Tony™ Award winning musical, optimized for iOS devices.

We developed the original Jersey Boys website back in 2005. The original site was a full Adobe Flash interactive, with streaming audio and video and custom animations. During the launch of the show, it received over 70K visits per day.

Over the course of maintaining the site, we began to realize the need for the site to have a much broader reach.The rise of mobile computing has significantly impacted the landscape of devices that have access to online content. After reviewing the site statistics we realized that it was time to update the original Jersey Boys website with a technology platform that put more emphasis on the mobile devices. Along with these changes, the new site needed to be integrated with the client’s social networking efforts.

The solution was to develop a framework that would serve up the most appropriate content for each device that loaded the website. In this case, we wanted to make sure that the video was viewable on IOs and HTML5 compatible devices, and also could seamlessly support Flash video on devices that did not support the new codex.
